Our volunteers offer compassionate support to individuals and families during end-of-life and bereavement. Volunteer roles may include:
- Spending time with someone in the final stages of life
- Providing respite for family caregivers, giving them time to rest and recharge
- Offering a listening ear and a caring presence for conversations about dying
- Staying connected and communicating with your care team
- Sharing after-death information when requested
- Connecting families with helpful community resources
- Offering continued grief support after the loss of a loved one
- Assisting with administrative tasks, and special events
- Help with fundraising events
- Serving on the Board of Directors
Our volunteers make a meaningful difference by offering presence, compassion, and care when it’s needed most.

Volunteers who support palliative patients and families through end of life care and bereavement are required to attend a general hospice volunteer training and/or grief support training.
